HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Karmen Graham has
been named Great Lakes Valley Conference co-Player of the
Week
in women’s basketball, the league office announced Monday.
Graham,
a sophomore center from Kettering, Ohio, averaged 16
points and shot 69.2 percent from the field to lead NKU
to a two-game road sweep of Missouri-St. Louis and Southern
Indiana last week. Graham began the road trip with a 20-point
effort as NKU defeated Missouri-St. Louis, 67-57. She
was also 8-for-10 from the free-throw line in that game.
She
capped the week with 12 points in NKU’s 81-55 triumph
at Southern Indiana. Graham was 3-for-4 from three-point
range in that victory as the Norse won for the seventh
time in the last nine games.
For the week,
Graham connected on 9-of-13 field goals
also made 71.4 percent of her three-point attempts.
She shared the weekly honor with Bellarmine University’s
Lynne Johnson.
