HIGHLAND HEIGHTS,
Ky. - Northern Kentucky University’s Karmen Graham has
been named Great Lakes Valley Conference co-Player of the
Week
in women’s basketball, the league office announced Monday.
Graham,
a sophomore center from Kettering, Ohio, averaged 17.5
points and 9.0 rebounds, and she capped her week by hitting
the
winning shot against Wisconsin-Parkside with 10.9 seconds
left in the game Saturday. Graham scored 20 points, grabbed
nine rebounds and blocked four shots in that game as NKU
held off Wisconsin-Parkside, 53-50.
On Thursday,
Graham had 15 points and nine rebounds as NKU posted a
52-26 win over Saint Joseph’s. For the week, she shot 61.9
percent
from the field, was perfect at the free-throw line (8-for-8)
and averaged 2.5 blocks as NKU extended its win streak
to six.
Graham shared
the weekly honor with Lewis University’s Mary Moskal. This
marks the second time this season Graham has earned the
GLVC weekly honor. |
