HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Strong performances on the court and perfect performance in the classroom led a pair of Northern Kentucky University tennis players to places on the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District IV teams.
Stephanie Isaacs and Fritz Dlabik were both second-team at-large selections. The teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) among student-athletes at NCAA Division II and Division III schools as well as NAIA and NJCAA institutions in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
Isaacs, a junior from Waynesville, Ohio, posted a 15-9 singles record playing primarily in the No. 2 flight, including a 6-3 record against Great Lakes Valley Conference competition, and an 11-16 mark as a doubles competitor. Isaacs was named to the All-GLVC team for her play. In the classroom, Isaacs maintains a 4.0 grade point average as a double-major in political science and speech communication.
Dlabik, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., was 13-8 on the season as the team’s No. 2 singles player and 13-10 in the top doubles pair. Dlabik also had a 4.0 GPA in finance. |
