HILTON HEAD,
S.C. – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team
suffered a heartbreaking loss on Thursday, falling to undefeated
Bryant, 5-4, to close out the team's Spring Break matches.
Four of the six singles flights went to super tiebreaker sets,
with the Norse taking three of the four extended matches. Jon Raley,
playing in the No. 6 singles flight, had perhaps the biggest comeback
of the match, reversing a 1-6 first-set loss to take the second,
6-2, and the super tiebreaker by a 10-8 score.
Felipe Rosetti
claimed his fourth-straight singles victory, besting Dylan Whiting,
6-7, 6-3, 10-7, in the No. 3 flight.
Northern Kentucky (1-5) returns home to host Cedarville before
opening Great Lakes Valley Conference play against Bellarmine.
