Ill. - The University of Southern Indiana men’s tennis team
defeated Northern Kentucky University, 5-2, in the opening round
of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on Friday.
Kurt Collins won in singles competition for NKU, and he also teamed
with Josh Fudala for a 9-7 victory in No. 3 doubles over Bryan Sulcer
and Ryan McDaniel. The Norse, who entered the event as the No. 2
seed from the GLVC East, are 9-9 overall.
