NKU POSTS 1-0 WIN OVER TRUMAN STATE - Sept. 30, 2005
Norse improve to 7-3 with non-conference victory

WILDER, Ky. - Kyle Roberts converted a penalty kick in the first half for the only score of the game Friday night as the Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team defeated Truman State, 1-0, at the Town & Country Sports Complex.

Roberts netted the penalty kick at the 42:28 mark for NKU, which improved to 7-3 with the non-conference victory. Truman State dropped to 7-3.

Freshman goalie Anthony Sucietto picked up the shutout and had three saves for the Norse.

NKU will play Bellarmine at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Norse are 4-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

The Norse hit the road for three straight games next week, beginning with a 4 p.m. contest at Ashland on Oct. 5. NKU will visit both Missouri-St. Louis (Oct. 7) and Missouri-Rolla (Oct. 9) before returning home Oct. 14 to meet Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.
