HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.
- The Northern Kentucky University men’s soccer team will
play host to regional opponent Truman State at 7 p.m. Friday at
the Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky.
NKU is 6-3 overall after
dropping a 4-0 decision to Wisconsin-Parkside last Sunday. The Norse
are 4-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Truman State enters
Friday with a 7-2 overall record. The Bulldogs have won four consecutive
games.
NKU will resume GLVC
play at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with a home game against Bellarmine. The
Norse hit the road for three straight games next week, beginning
with a 4 p.m. contest at Ashland on Oct. 5.
NKU will visit both
Missouri-St. Louis (Oct. 7) and Missouri-Rolla (Oct. 9) before returning
home Oct. 14 to meet Southern Illinois at Edwardsville.
Sophomore midfielder
Tony Capurro leads NKU in scoring with three goals and four assists.
Sophomore forward Chris Thompson has two goals and two assists for
the Norse.
