KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Haggai
Leboo scored a pair of goals Sunday as the Rockhurst men’s
soccer team snapped Northern Kentucky University’s five-game
winning streak with a 5-0 victory.
Leboo tallied his first
goal nine minutes into the contest on a header off an assist from
Michael Ragsdale. The Hawks held a 1-0 lead at halftime and increased
the advantage to 2-0 at the 52:31 mark when Leboo drilled a shot
into the back of the net.
Rockhurst sealed the
win by scoring two goals in 45 seconds. Spencer Martens scored at
the 68:24 mark, and Darren Rahe struck at 69:09 to give the Hawks
a 4-0 lead.
Brian Harrod tallied
the final goal in the 88th minute as Rockhurst improved to 5-2 overall,
3-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
NKU, ranked 12th nationally
in the NCAA Division II poll, dropped to 5-2 overall, 3-1 GLVC.
The Norse were limited to just two shots the entire game, and Rockhurst
finished with a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

Moses each were credited with shot attempts for NKU, which owned
four consecutive shutouts going into Sunday. The Norse had won five
straight after suffering a season-opening 3-2 loss in overtime to
Lincoln Memorial on Aug. 27.
NKU will play host to
Lewis at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Town & Country Sports Complex
in Wilder, Ky.
