ST. LOUIS - Haggai Leboo scored a pair of goals Friday night as second-seeded Rockhurst ended Northern Kentucky University’s season with a 4-1 win in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament semifinals at the Don Dallas Memorial Field.

Leboo tallied his first goal Friday just nine minutes into the game. Rockhurst made it 2-0 at the 18:46 mark when Tom Heinemann finished off a corner kick by Steve Valenta with a goal.

Adam Johnson made it 3-0 by hooking in a corner kick in the 76th minute. NKU freshman Tony Ray converted a penalty kick in the 77th minute to cut Rockhurst’s lead to 3-1, but Leboo added his second goal of the game nine minutes later to give the Hawks a 4-1 advantage.

The sixth-seeded Norse, who upset third-seeded Wisconsin-Parkside to advance to the GLVC semifinals, finished with an 11-8-2 record. Rockhurst improved to 14-4-1.

Earlier this season at Kansas City, Mo., Rockhurst posted a 5-0 win over NKU.
