Dave Bezold announced Sunday that Elliott County High School standout
Ethan Faulkner has signed a national letter of intent to play for
6-foot-1 guard, averaged 16.1 points, 7.2 assists and 7.0 rebounds
last season for Elliott County. He was named all-region as a junior
and also earned the 16th Region Tournament most valuable player
award. Faulkner is considered one of the top high school players
in Kentucky this season.

said. “He is a very tough kid who plays with a lot of intensity,
and we are very excited he has chosen NKU.”
his senior season at Elliott County with 1,652 career points and
687 assists. He was named the Eastern Kentucky Conference defensive
player of the year last season and is a three-time All-EKC selection.

and knock down shots from the outside.”
NKU opened its
season Saturday with a 72-57 win over Ferris State. The Norse are
two-time defending champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference
East Division and are ranked No. 4 nationally in the Division II
Bulletin preseason poll.
