AT NKU: Schappell begins his fifth season at NKU…sat out as a redshirt four years ago…one of the hardest workers on the team...developed into an All-GLVC performer last season…excellent 3-point shooter who has a knack for grabbing big rebounds...can also score off the dribble. 2005-06: Played in 28 games...averaged 11.2 ppg and finished No. 3 in the GLVC in free-throw percentage at .821...was 43-for-99 from 3-point range...named honorable mention All-GLVC...scored in double figures 14 times. 2004-05: Played in 20 games and started once...averaged 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds...shot 52 percent from the field...made 50 percent of his 3-point attempts. 2003-04: Appeared in 31 games and started seven times…averaged 4.6 ppg. HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Loveland High School…scored 22 points and added six rebounds, four assists and two steals per game…a two-time All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference Player of the Year, two-time All-City, first team all-district, and two-time all-state performer...coached by Mike Ferone.
