HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball team will play an exhibition game at Xavier University on Nov. 5 in the Cintas Center. The time of the game will be determined later this fall.

NKU and Xavier have not played since the 1978-79 season, when the Norse stunned the Division I Musketeers, 63-61, in overtime. Xavier holds a 3-2 lead in the all-time series with NKU, and this will be the first time the two schools have met in an exhibition game.

NKU, which also plays at the University of Cincinnati on Nov. 12 in an exhibition game, posted a 14-15 record last season. Xavier, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, finished with a 17-12 record in 2004-05.

A year ago, NKU played Kentucky, Cincinnati and Ohio State in exhibition games.
