AT NKU: Schappell begins his fourth season at NKU…redshirted three years ago…hard worker with plenty of desire to make an impact…solid shooter who has a knack for grabbing big rebounds...will challenge for a starting position this season after having an excellent summer.

2004-05: Played in 20 games and started once...averaged 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds...shot 52 percent from the field...made 50 percent of his three-point attempts...scored in double figures three times.

2003-04: Appeared in all 31 games and started seven times…averaged 4.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest…shot better than 49 percent from the field (56 of 114)…added 19 assists and 18 steals.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2002 graduate of Loveland High School…scored 22 points and added six rebounds, four assists and two steals per game…a two-time All-Fort Ancient Valley Conference Player of the Year, two-time All-City, two-time first team All-District, and two-time All-State performer..coached by Mike Ferone.

PERSONAL: Born on May 11, 1983…son of Ken and Karen Schappell.
