Ky. - Colerain High School basketball standout Danyelle Echoles
has signed a national letter of intent to attend Northern Kentucky
University and play for the Norse next season.
Echoles, a 5-foot-6
guard and one of the top prep players in Cincinnati last season,
averaged 13.8 points per game as a senior for Colerain. Echoles
was 39-for-110 from three-point range last season, and she connected
on seven three-pointers in one game.
Echoles finished her
career with 1,228 points and was named first team All-Greater Miami
Conference last season. She also shot 72.2 percent from the free-throw
line and earned first team All-City honors as a senior.
Echoles will join an
NKU program that posted a 16-12 record last season. The Norse will
return three starters from that team.
