BEFORE NKU: Transfer from Cincinnati, where he spent two seasons...made 12 appearances in 2007, all out of the bullpen…pitched a total of 10 innings…had a 2.70 ERA with five strikeouts…redshirted in 2008.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Elder High School in Cincinnati…as a senior, he was named to the Cincinnati Enquirer All-City team…batted .385, scored 35 runs, and stole 23 bases during senior season…did not allow an earned run and compiled five saves…named to the All-GCL first team as a senior…helped Elder win the 2006 GCL championship…coached by his father, Mark Thompson.
