AT NKU: Begins his third season with the Norse…powerful left-hander who will bring a spark from the bullpen and can give a spot start when needed…elected one of the team captains by his teammates...will challenge for All-GLVC and All-Region honors. 2008: Pitched 57 1/3 innings during 23 appearances with two starts…recorded 47 strikeouts while walking just seven…23 appearances were second most among Norse pitchers…had two career firsts (start and complete game) in NKU's 4-1 victory over Southern Indiana on April 30…announced as the GLVC Pitcher of the Week for the last week of the regular season for pitching 12 1/3 innings, allowing four earned runs, six hits and striking out 10 in helping the Norse win five contests against Southern Indiana and Saint Joseph's, both nationally ranked squads…earned the nickname "Everyday K.J." as he became first pitcher in GLVC history to pick up three wins in the conference tournament. 2007: Pitched 30 2/3 innings in 20 appearances…recorded 17 strikeouts…picked up his first collegiate win March 31 at Drury, pitching two innings…pitched two innings of relief in 5-0 combined shutout of Lewis on April 6…notched first save April 15 against Quincy.

HIGH SCHOOL: Set school records for appearances (23), wins (13) and saves (3) in 2006 for Eastern High School in Louisville…threw three no-hitters during his senior season for the Eagles…was named All 7th-Region…coached by John Morris.
