SPRINGFIELD,
Mo. – The
Northern Kentucky University baseball team fell short in its Great

Hall. The Norse responded in the top of the third when Jeff Bohlen
scored on a balk by Drury’s Blake Wixson before Brian Erie
crossed home when Brett Hofmann’s fly-ball to center was
misplayed.
Drury responded with three unanswered runs, starting
in the bottom of the third as R.J. Knese hit a leadoff triple
to get things started
before coming in on a single by Hall, who was 3-for-4 on the
day. Knese would score again in the fifth on a wild pitch by NKU
starter
Sean Munningoff (1-2), who fanned five batters in six innings
of work.
Joel Potts put the nail in the coffin for Drury in the eighth,
sending a sacrifice fly to left field to plate Alex Nixon for
the 4-2 final.
