NKU catcher Conor McGeehan

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University senior catcher Conor McGeehan has signed a free agent contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he will report to Vero Beach, Fla., for extended spring training on Sunday.

McGeehan, a graduate of Lebanon High School, batted .302 with three home runs and 12 doubles this season. McGeehan also committed just one error behind the plate this season (a .998 fielding percentage) and was named first team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference.

In addition, McGeehan earned All-North Central Region accolades for the second straight season.

NKU won the GLVC Tournament championship for the third time in the past five years and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The Norse posted a 42-20-1 overall record.
