HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University has captured the Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Sports Trophy for the 2004-05 academic year.

NKU also captured the award in 2000, ’01 and ’02.

NKU won GLVC championships in both women’s golf and softball in 2004-05, and the Norse finished second in women’s soccer and men’s golf. NKU totaled 101.5 points to edge runner-up Southern Indiana (100 points) for the GLVC All-Sports Trophy.

NKU featured three student-athletes who were honored as GLVC Player of the Year in 2004-05. They were Kristin Koralewski (volleyball), David Shearer (men’s golf) and Nate Madden (men’s soccer). Norse softball player Krystal Lewallen was named GLVC Pitcher of the Year and also earned the NCAA Division II National Player of the Year honor.
