Josh Moulton was named All-GLVC

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Five Northern Kentucky University baseball players have earned All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors.

Three Norse - Conor McGeehan, Josh Moulton and Kory Lonergan - were named first team All-GLVC. Derrik Moeves and Alex Frank each earned second team All-GLVC accolades.

McGeehan, a junior catcher from Lebanon, Ohio, batted .295 with a team-leading six home runs this season. He also had 27 runs batted in.

Moulton, a freshman designated hitter from Toledo, Ohio, hit .366 with seven doubles and four triples. Lonergan, a sophomore shortstop and a graduate of Dixie Heights High School, batted .322 with 11 doubles and scored a team-leading 36 runs.

Moeves, a junior pitcher and a graduate of Highlands High School, became NKU’s all-time career strikeout leader this season with 259. He posted a 7-5 record with a 2.34 earned run average this season and struck out 99 batters. Moeves also had seven complete games and two shutouts.

Frank, a senior outfielder from Grayslake, Ill., hit .273 with five home runs and 31 RBI. Frank also had 12 doubles and two triples this season.
