Results
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Jeremy Martin led the way as the Northern Kentucky
University men's golf team claimed a fifth-place finish at the
Drury Invitational at Rivercut Golf Course.
Martin shot
a five-under-par (70-69—139) on the par-72 course to claim a
one-stroke victory
over Truman State's Chris Kovach (68-72—140). Martin is the third
NKU golfer to take an individual victory this season.
Eric Fuldner,
who medaled at the Wasioto Winds Fall Kick-off in early September,
carded
a 150 (76-74) to share 19th
place. Clint
Kohls (79-75—154), who won the individual event at the NKU Fall
Invitational, and Danny Lewis (78-76—154) shared 35th place,
while Will Brown (81-74 155) added his second-round score to the
team total while finishing 43rd. For Lewis, it was the first time
this season he has finished out of the top five.
As a team, the
Norse finished 19-over-par (303-292—595), seven strokes behind
team champion Missouri Western State, which shot
11-over-par (281-306—587) to win the event by two strokes over
Truman State (293-296—589). Missouri Southern (294-299—593) and
Arkansas Tech (300-294—594) helped to round out the top five.

gets a week off before wrapping up the fall season at the UMSL
Triton Invitational on Oct. 13-14 in St. Louis, Mo. |
