SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. - The Northern Kentucky University men's golf
team took a sixth-place finish at the Great Lakes Fall Regional
Tournament held at HawksHead Golf Course on Sept. 21-22.
The Norse
shot five-over-par (291-290-581) in the 36-hole event, and were
just seven strokes behind the second-place finisher Ferris State
(284-290-574). Grand Valley State, Drury and Ashland completed
the gap between the Norse and the team champion Indianapolis, which
shot an amazing 26-under-par (279-271-550) over the two days.
Danny
Lewis led the Norse, shooting six-under-par (70-68-138) to finish
third. Clint Kohls, who took the medal at last week's NKU Fall
Invitational, shared 31st place at three-over-par (68-79-147).
Jeremy Martin carded a four-over-par (77-71-148) to take 35th place.
Eric Fuldner (77-72-149) added his second-round to the total
while finishing 45th, and Will Brown landed in 86th, lending his
first-round effort to the team score.
Aaron Monson of Indianapolis
took the individual medal in the 105-man event, carding an 11-under-par
133 (67-66) to win the event by four strokes over second-place
finisher Kyle Leach (69-68-137) of Bellarmine.

returns to action on Sept. 29 at the Drury Invitational in Springfield,
Mo. |
