Results
GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men's golf
team was victorious this weekend in the NKU Fall Invitational at
Cherry Blossom Golf Course.
NKU shot 12-under-par as a team (284-280--564)
in the 36-hole event to take the tournament by 13 strokes over
second-place Bellarmine. Lewis, Spalding, Southern Indiana and
Kentucky Wesleyan rounded out the six-team field.
The Norse claimed
the top three finishers in the event, with Clint Kohls (71-67--138)
and Jeremy Martin (69-69--138) standing atop the leaderboard at
six-under-par while Danny Lewis (71-70--141) finished third at
three-under-par.
Eric Fuldner (73-74--147) carded a three-over-par
to round out the team scoring in the 52-man event.
Also competing
for the Norse were Josh Reece (77-73--150, 19th), Cody Moore
(74-77--151, 23rd), Will Brown (74-79--153, 29th), Matt Poat (79-74--153,
29th) and Janson Cahill (83-78--161, 45th).
NKU moves to South Haven,
Mich. for the Fall Regional Invitational at Hawkshead Golf Course
on Sept. 21-22. |
