Results
PERRY PARK, Ky. – After Saturday’s round was rained
out, the Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team claimed
a sixth-place finish at the NKU Spring Invitational played at Perry
Park golf course.
The Norse shot a 26-over-par 314 to finish 14 strokes off the pace
set by event winner Indianapolis, which took the 20-team event
with a 12-over-par 300.
NKU’s team score was set via Charity Evans’ two-over-par
74, good for seventh-place individually, Sofie Rasmussen’s
78 (tied for 26th), and the cards of 81 brought in by Alicia Stauffacher
and Lyndsey Bevill.
Other NKU performers included Hannah Lindauer (84, tied for 75th),
Nicole Hess (87, tied for 89th), Danielle Lickert (96, 113th) and
Becky Wiseman (97, 114th).
Six players tied at 73 to share the individual medal, including
Lyndsay McBride and Sarah Prascsak of Indianapolis, Annie Miles
of Ashland, Ashley Smith of Grand Valley State, Meghan Hunter of
Ferris State and Catherine Brunoehler of Otterbein.
Northern Kentucky takes no rest, as they return to the links on
Monday to compete in the Bellarmine Invitational at Persimmon Ridge
in Louisville, Ky.
