LAKELAND, Fla. - The Northern Kentucky University women's golf team opened its spring schedule with a 12th-place finish at the Lady Moc Classic this week.

The Norse finished the 54-hole event 169-over-par (335-337-345-1029), just six strokes back of a top 10 finish. Rollins took the team title at 65-over-par (316-307-306-929).

Alicia Stauffacher (77-88-82-247) led the Norse individually, sharing 31st place at 31-over-par. Sofie Rasmussen (86-95-80-261) finished 56th overall, with Lyndsey Bevill (83-19-88-262) just one stroke behind in 59th. Charity Evans (89-106-81-276) added her first and third round scores to the team total while claiming 74th, and Hannah Lindauer (90-93-94-277) contributed her second round score with a 75th-place finish.

Joanna Coe (77-70-71-218) of Rollins shot two-over-par to take the medal with a five-stroke victory over Maria Garcia Austt (74-74-75-223) of Nova Southeastern.

Northern Kentucky will host the NKU Invitational on March 28 and 29 from Perry Park Golf Course in Perry Park, Ky.
