---Alicia Stauffacher took a share of third place in the Laker Fall Classic, completing four rounds in four days for the NKU women's golf team.

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Junior Alicia Stauffacher posted her second consecutive third-place finish as the Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team placed eighth in the Laker Fall Classic at The Meadows Golf Course.

NKU finished 51 strokes off the pace set by the host Grand Valley State, which won with a 32-over-par (303-305—608) team score. The Norse posted a 328 score in Monday’s round and a 331 Tuesday to close out the event.

Stauffacher (77-74—151) shot a 7-over-par individually to share third with three other golfers. California (Pa.) golfer Simone DeSouza (73-73—146) won the event, shooting 2-over-par.

Sofie Rasmussen (83-82—165) shot 21-over-par to take a share of 38th place. Alicia Lawrence (81-86—167) took 47th with a 23-over-par score. Nicole Hess (87-91—178) finished 69th with a 34-over par. Hannah Lindauer (91-88—179) and Charity Evans (92-89—181) placed 72nd and 76th, respectively.

The NKU women’s golf team will return to action Sept. 23-24 for the Screaming Eagle Classic in Evansville, Ind.
