LAKELAND, Fla. – The Northern Kentucky University women’s
golf team posted a seventh place finish at the Lady Moc Classic
at Cleveland Heights Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Norse posted
a 92-over-par 956 (324-314-318) as they finished in the middle
of
the 16-team field. Tournament host Florida Southern
(301-294-298—893) won the event with a 29-over-par score.
Florida
Southern’s Marianne Anderson shot 6-over-par (77-73-72—222)
to take the individual title. The Norse were lead by Alicia Stauffacher
(80-75-77—232) and Alicia Lawrence (75-80-77—232),
who each posted 16-over-par scores to share 21st place. Sofie Rasmussen
(83-81-81—245) placed 45th, in the individual, Charity Evans
(88-80-83—251) finished in 55th, while Lyndsey Bevill (86-79-87—252)
added a 59th place result to the team total.
Norse individual
performances included Hannah Lindauer (87-87-89—263)
in 71st and Nicole Hess (102-98-95—295) in 79th.
The Norse
will return to action in four weeks when they travel to Goodyear,
Ariz., to participate in the Grand Canyon University
Women’s Invitational on March 24-25.
