BIG RAPIDS, Mich.
- The Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team posted
an eighth-place finish at the Ferris State Bulldog Fall Invitational
on Sunday with a two-day total of 661.
NKU golfers Bianca Hutton
and Alicia Lawrence tied for 11th place in the individual competition
with two-round totals of 158 at the par-72 Katke Golf Course. Hutton
shot a 78 during Sunday’s final round to lead the Norse.
Lindsey Oldiges of NKU
finished 63rd with a 178, while teammate Katie Lammrish tied for
64th place after shooting 179. Deanna Feilen totaled 180 and finished
in a tie for 69th place.
Ferris State won the
team title with a score of 615, and Grand Valley State took second-place
honors with a 624. Audra Walter (149) of Grand Valley State won
a playoff against Ferris State’s Elena Robles (149) to capture
the medal.
NKU will compete at
the Laker Classic in Allendale, Mich., Monday and Tuesday.
