O’FALLON, Mo.
- Jon Ehlen fired a 4-under-par 68 during the final round Tuesday
to capture the medal as the Northern Kentucky University men’s
golf team won the Riverman Invitational with a two-day total of
582.
Ehlen, a graduate of
Ryle High School, won the medal with a two-round total of 138 at
the par-72 WingHaven Country Club. Ehlen finished five strokes ahead
of runner-up and Dan Frost (143) of Lincoln (Mo.).
NKU golfers David Shearer
and Mark Krahe tied for ninth place in the event with two-day totals
of 148. NKU’s Clint Kohls posted a 12th-place finish with
a score of 149 after shooting 72 on Tuesday.
The Norse won the team
title by seven strokes over runner-up Southern Illinois at Edwardsville
(589).
