LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Bianca
Hutton and Jerod Cahill each won medals Tuesday for the Northern
Kentucky University golf teams at the Bellarmine Invitational.
Hutton finished with
a two-day total of 158 at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course and won
the medal by one stroke over Southern Indiana’s Alisha Luigs
(159). Hutton shot a 76 during the final round to capture first-place
honors.
As a team, NKU tied
Southern Illinois at Edwardsville for second place with a total
of 675, seven strokes behind Southern Indiana.
The NKU men took the
team title behind Cahill’s medal-winning total of 146. Cahill
shot a 2-over-par 74 during the final round and held off teammate
Jon Ehlen (148) for first place in the event.
The Norse finished with
a two-round score of 605 to edge runner-up Grand Valley State (606)
by one stroke.
