KETTERING, Ohio - Northern Kentucky University's cross country teams competed at the University of Dayton's Flyer 5K, and the Norse's Matthew Shoulta posted a seventh-place finish in the men's race with a time of 15:41.

NKU's Zach Koehler finished 11th with a time of 15:46, while teammate Keith Knapp was 23rd in 16:08. The Norse finished third in the team standings.

In the women's competition, NKU's Julianne Hoekzema finished in 10th place with a time of 19:05. The Norse's Rose Jepkirui posted a 13th-place finish with a time of 19:23, and Jenna Seimer was 34th in 19:56.

NKU posted a fifth-place finish in the team standings.
