THREE NKU TENNIS PLAYERS NAMED ALL-GLVC

Herzog, Marinkovic and Pawelec earn All-GLVC accolades

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Three Northern Kentucky University men’s tennis players have been named All-Great Lakes Valley Conference by the league coaches.

Nick Herzog, Oliver Marinkovic and Marek Pawelec each earned All-GLVC honors for NKU. That trio led the Norse to a 7-1 record in the GLVC during the regular season and the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament.

Herzog, a senior from Springfield, Ohio, posted a 3-3 record against GLVC opponents at No. 2 singles this season. He also had a 10-7 overall record in doubles competition this spring.

Marinkovic, a junior from Gothenburg, Sweden, was 4-3 in the GLVC at No. 1 singles. He finished 10-6 in the regular season in doubles competition. This is the second straight season Marinkovic has earned All-GLVC honors.

Pawelec, a senior from Warsaw, Poland, was 5-1 against GLVC teams at No. 3 singles. He posted an 8-8 record in doubles.

Southern Indiana’s Joe Epkey earned GLVC Player of the Year honors.
