Dr. Samuel J. Zachary

Associate Dean for Curriculum and Facilities
Professor of Theatre

As Associate Dean, Dr. Zachary works closely with the dean and department chairs on a variety of curriculum, space, and assorted other College and/or department issues; collaborates with Information Technology concerning annual computer replacements, selection of and installation of smart classrooms, and acquisition of site licenses for software; coordinates Arts & Sciences course catalogue revisions and the College’s Outstanding Junior Faculty Award; represents the dean on various University committees; and generally assists the dean and department chairs in addressing the College and University’s strategic agenda. As professor of theatre, Dr. Zachary teaches across the curriculum in history, literature, theory/criticism, and performance, and teaches the department’s three graduate courses designed specifically for teachers.
