Proposal Selection Criteria
All proposals are viewed 2 times:

First, by a preliminary review committee consisting of 5-9 College of Arts and Sciences faculty

Second, by the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.
You will strengthen your proposal significantly by clearly addressing all of the following essential criteria:

1. Clarity of the project purpose and expected outcomes and their potential significance.

2. Relevance of the research/creative project to the discipline.
-
3. Clarity and appropriateness of project procedure(s).
-
4. Documented qualifications of faculty and students to engage in this particular project.
-
5. Feasibility of successfully completing the project within the estimated timeframe.

6. Learning potential for collaborating students (i.e., likelihood they will learn, refine, and/or utilize appropriate research/creative techniques and methodologies).

7. Appropriateness of budget requests.
-
8. Attempts to secure additional funding from NKU or from external sources.
-
9. Potential that this grant might generate future external grants.

10. Documented proof of animal/human subjects protocol submission, if applicable.
