SAACS Potluck Luncheon and Canned Food Drive

The Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society will be holding a pre-Thanksgiving potluck luncheon for interested Chemistry students (and faculty).  They are asking students also to bring non-perishable food items that SAACS will contribute to the Brighton Center.  Two winners of $15 i-tune cards will be drawn from those making donations to the food drive.

"Earth, Moon, Sun" at Haile Digital Planetarium

This award-winning feature documentary is 30 minutes of full-dome computer generated simulations and high resolution photography. It won Best Digistar 3 Presentation at an international planetarium conference in September and was produced right here at NKU! This show looks at the Earth, Moon, Sun system and how it has influenced life on Earth. Watch as the Moon forms, visit places that could be the origin of life, learn about the phases of the Moon, seasons, and see eclipses. Narrated by Michael Grayson of WNKU.

First Nations Student Organization and Kiksuya

First Nations Student Organization is open to any student with an interest in Native American studies.  While Native American students and Native American studies minors are encouraged to join, membership is open to all NKU students.

Each year in May some members of Kiksuya travel to the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota to do volunteer work with an organization there called Re-Member.  All Kiksuya members work together during the academic year to support that effort through fundraising and educational efforts on our campus and in our neighboring communities.
