Related Groups
There are several multi-cultural student groups at NKU with which anthropology students are involved:
- African American Studies Club The purpose of the African American Studies Club is to bring together students in the African-American Studies minor and its advocates in camaraderie together.
- ANKU ANKU's goal is to promote fellowship through anime and popular Japanese culture.
- Association of African Charities The Association of African Charities is committed to mobilizing the caring power of communities to help the poor in Africa.
- East-Asian Club A club devoted to exploring the cultures of East Asia, specifically China, Japan, and the Koreas.
- French Club The purpose of the Northern Kentucky University French Club is to promote French studies on NKU's campus and to stimulate interest in Francophone cultures.
- German Club The German Club is an organization which promotes the study of the German language and German speaking cultures.
- International Student Union ISU offers members the opportunity to acquaint each other with different cultures, ideas, and customs.
- Kiksuya An outreach organization to the Lakota people on Pine Ridge Reservation.
- Sociology Club The purpose of this society is to bring together students concerned with the social problems of today, as well as provide applicable experience for those considering careers in sociology or social work.
The are many academic, faith based, game and sport, greek life, law, service and special interest student organizations that are listed on the Office of Student Life's web site.
