Course
Overview
Use two of the leading WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web
editors, popular graphics programs, and just enough HTML to learn about
web design. You'll create a website for the Mermaid's Rest Inn, a fictional
bed and breakfast establishment in Galveston, Texas, as well as a resume.
This course is web-ehanced
using Blackboard.
The Midterm and half of the final exam are taken outside of class using
the web. Discussion forums and assignments are available on Blackboard.
About
This Website
The Web Design Certificate Course website was a multi-program effort.
It was created in Dreamweaver, a popular WYSIWYG web editor. Original
design layout and graphics were done in Photoshop. The rollovers (the
little balls that seem to move) in the navigation on the main pages were
created in Fireworks and imported into Dreamweaver.
