The Clifton Merchants Parking Lot offers two hours of free parking with a validated parking ticket from the theater (enter the lot on Howell Avenue). Depending on when you get there, you can also sometimes find free street parking (and meters are free after 6 PM) in the Howell/Terrace Avenue areas and also in the areas north of Ludlow Avenue and the theater. Obviously, Friday and Saturday nights are the busiest for parking; weekdays and afternoons are better. There are also many restaurants within walking distance of the theater as well as Graeter's ice cream.
How to get there from NKU: take 471 north to George Washington way west towards I 71 (exit is right over the bridge). Go on I 71 north and exit on Hopple (left lane exit). Turn left at the light at the end of the offramp. Continue straight through the next intersection and head up the hill. Turn left at Dixmyth (by the hospitals). Turn left on Clifton when Dixmyth ends. For the parking lot, turn left on Howell.
The Mariemont Theatre is located at 6906 Wooster Pike in the middle of Mariemont on the east side of Cincinnati. To get there from NKU, take I-471 north and follow the detour signs to go on Columbia Parkway east (the normal offramp is closed for construction. You'll get off at 6th street, drive down to 5th street, and then drive to the onramp for Columbia Parkway east). Keep driving about 9 miles and you will find yourself right in front of the theater. There is free parking right behind the theater in a lot off of Madisonville road.
Cincinnati Film Society/Cincinnati Art Museum
The Cincinnati Film Society shows films in the auditorium on the ground floor of the Cincinnati Art Museum. The museum is located at 953 Eden Park drive at the top of Eden Park. The museum has free parking. Entrance to the ground floor and the auditorium is in the rear of the museum. Here are directions to the museum from NKU from the museum web site:
