The Office of Admissions
evaluates an applicant's admission status.
The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the
applicant's preparation for college-level coursework. The
evaluation focuses on two areas:
the student’s high school coursework (pre-college
curriculum – PCC) and the
ACT,
SAT or COMPASS exam scores.
We evaluate these two areas to determine if the applicant meets the
minimum requirements set forth by both the Kentucky Council on
Postsecondary Education and NKU for admission to a degree program.
|
ADMISSION STATUS |
|
In fall 2005, Northern Kentucky University
implemented a set of comprehensive undergraduate
admission standards for all first-time freshmen. Students will be
admitted into one of two categories - regular admission or admissions
with conditions.
Regular Admission -
Students have met NKU's admission standards.
Admission with Conditions -
Students will be admitted, but required to complete a customized
academic support program to ensure their success. |
