The Applied Program aims to develop
- written and verbal communication skills
- computer skills (spreadsheet, power point, word processing, statistical
packages;
- analytical abilities;
- strong interviewing skills;
- ability to organize information and to communicate and present research
findings in a clear and useful manner;
- experience with all phases of the research process, including data
analysis and reporting;
- experience using the internet as a research tool;
- an ability to communciate effectively with persons of different social,
economic, and ethnic backgrounds
