NKU ROCKS

NKUROCKS is a mentoring program, which targets first year African American students. The program is designed as a retention tool to assist students with their transition from high school to college. Students are provided with a mentor, as well as an orientation to the program and resources available at NKU.

Responsibility

At NKU you can take responsibility for your choices in your educational career, your personal schedule and the decisions that show you are a critical thinker.

Opportunity

NKU has programs to assist you with your studies:

  1. study groups where you can meet with others majoring in the same field,
  2. tutoring with students just like you; and
  3. African-American sections of UNV 101.

In addition, there are many social groups and special programs to make your experience in college a good one.

Community

You can meet, interact and work with a variety of people at NKU, celebrating their diversity and discovering common interests.

Knowledge

NKU offers many interesting and challenging programs to help you reach your fullest potential and receive a quality education.

Success

Programs on campus can help you develop skills to achieve your educational goals. Caring, concerned faculty provide career guidance and help address the needs of students.
