Accreditations

 

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, master’s degree in nursing, postgraduate APRN certificate and Post Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Northern Kentucky University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org)

 

The Northern Kentucky will host an accreditation visit by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) on September 25-27, 2023.  The purpose of the visit is to seek continuing nursing accreditation of the Post MSN Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and the DNP Nurse Practice Nurse Anesthesia Specialization program.  

In accordance with CCNE accreditation procedures, interested parties may submit written comments concerning a program’s qualifications for accreditation.

Written third party comments regarding the School of Nursing DNP Post Masters and Nurse Anesthesia Specialization program must be received by CCNE no later than September 7, 2023.  Only signed comments are accepted by CCNE.  All third-party comments submitted to CCNE must be written in English, consistent with CCNE’s policy on Conduct of Business in English.

CCNE shares their-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the review process are these comments shared with the program.  During its review of the program, the evaluation team considers third-party comments that relate to the accreditation standards.
