Who We Are
Here on the Web Rebuild Team, we are a combination of talent from Information Technology's Research and Development department and Marketing + Communications' Web Communications department.
IT Research and Development researches, presents and implements technology options on the web to enhance websites and improve efficiencies within the university.
Responsible for the infrastructure supporting the web, IT Research and Development implemented and now supports the content management system (Serena Collage) that is being used in the web rebuild. After working with an external vendor on the design of the site, IT Research and Development took the designs and put them into Collage, creating the templates by which we are able to achieve consistency and standardization on the new site. The IT Research and Development team will continue to support Collage and will also be making enhancements to the templates.
Web Communications presents the best face for the departments and the university on the web, providing designs, text and architecture organization for users.
While IT Research and Development supports the infrastructure, Web Communications provides the marketing look and feel for the websites. Whether it is designing pages, providing video and other new media, writing copy or developing the best organization for the site's information, Web Communications makes sure all sites support NKU's branding and mission.
