The B.F.A. is a more intensive study for the potential professional.  With this major, you will get to choose an area of emphasis, which can be acting, dance, musical theatre or playwriting, or you can follow the curriculum for one of the following programs: design or technology, design or technology with an emphasis on rock/music concert or stage management.

Selective Admission

The B.F.A. program requires acceptance through a process of application, interview and audition (performers) or portfolio submission (design and technology, playwriting, and stage management). For more information, see the online catalog.

 

Cool Fact:

Through the department, students can participate in campus, community or recruitment outreach programs for academic credit, including the Dance Troupe, Improv Troupe, Musical Theatre Tour Troupe and the Broadway Chorus Tour Troupe.
