The Department of Visual Arts is a community of students and teachers committed to the advancement of creative expression and scholarly research in the visual arts. The faculty and staff place a high value on innovation, experimentation, and critical thinking as the cornerstones of a professional studio education.
We provide comprehensive training in the visual arts, art history and art education within the learning environment of a metropolitan, liberal-arts university. The average advanced studio class has an average 10:1 student to faculty ratio.
