The Sports Business program offers you a unique opportunity to earn a business degree with a difference – a focus on the business of sport. The program will prepare you for a variety of career and leadership opportunities in sports business and recreational management. A small sampling of career paths in the sports industry includes event suppliers, event management and marketing, sports media, sports sponsorship, athlete services, sports commissions, sports lawyers, sports equipment manufacturing and distribution, sports and recreational facilities and facility suppliers, and team, league, and college athletics management and marketing. You are strongly encouraged to discuss your career goals with sports business faculty for guidance in searching for the perfect job.

Sports Business program graduate Matthew Wagner was recognized this month by Partnership Activation as a 'rising star' in the sports industry. Read about his accomplishment (pdf).
Sports Business program graduate Chris Ryan ('06) was featured as a "Rising Star" by Partnership Activation (pg. 6), a leading sports industry trade publication. After working as an intern at Kentucky Speedway when he was an NKU student, Chris moved into a full-time position with the Speedway following graduation. Moving Up

The Sports Business Club is the student organization for all Sports Business majors and any NKU student interested in the business of sport. The Club is active in providing it's members with opportunities to visit regional sports venues and organizations and to interact with key industry experts. It places a major emphasis on helping its members establish professional networking connections with sports business employers in the region.
