The public relations major incorporates journalism, electronic media & broadcasting, marketing and speech communication to prepare students to manage the public face of an organization. With this degree, you will be prepared to create a communications strategy for an organization and to manage its relationships. Internship and coop opportunites are available in communication agencies, corporations, media outlets, nonprofit and educational organizations and in government.
About the College of Informatics
In the College of Informatics' new home, Griffin Hall, you'll be at the center of the Information Revolution. The common thread of informatics is information - its acquisition, collection, analysis, manipulation, application, packaging, presentation and marketing. Programs of study include everything from protecting businesses from computer hackers to producing advanced digital newscasts.
