As a Library Informatics major, you will learn how to apply information technology to help people and organizations solve problems, specifically by learning how to organize, access and assess information. Graduates from this program will be prepared for careers in private industries, public and academic libraries and nonprofit organizations.
About the College of Informatics
In the College of Informatics' new home, Griffin Hall, you'll be at the center of the Information Revolution. The common thread of informatics is information - its acquisition, collection, analysis, manipulation, application, packaging, presentation and marketing. Programs of study include everything from protecting businesses from computer hackers to producing advanced digital newscasts.
