Follow me to the Next Step in life . . .
There's a countdown I keep on my cellphone, and it tells me how many days, hours and minutes I have until graduation on May 11. At last look I had 58 more days.
I'm excited about graduating. And nervous. I guess everyone must feel this way.
Hi. I'm Rebecca Potzner. I'm a 22-year-old Public Relations major in the College of Informatics at NKU. I'm a senior, ready to graduate.
Sort of.
For the rest of the semester I'm going to be Tweeting out about what it's like to be a senior in college, and how I'm ready for the next step in my life. Follow me @BeckuhBeck (or just click on my picture over there) and look for #NKUnextStep.
Whether it's buying my cap and gown, reflecting on my last four years or trying to remain focused on my remaining classes, I'm going to take you with me.
It should be fun. And maybe a little stressful.
I already know there are some things I'm going to miss. I'm going to miss my sorority sisters in Delta Zeta. I'm going to miss my classmates in the Public Relations Student Society of America. One thing I won't miss: Everyone in my family asking me, "So, how's the job search going?"
To answer: The job search is, well, still going.
Winding down to the end of college will be emotional and fun. I'm ready to graduate. I know it. So come along for the ride as I take the next steps in life – steps across the stage to get my diploma, and eventually, steps that will lead me to a career. #NKUnextStep
