HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky University and the Federal Mediation Service will host the 30th Annual Labor-Management Conference at NKU on Wednesday, May 16.
Featured keynote speakers are: C. Richard Barnes, former director of the Federal Mediation Service and current president of C. Richard Barnes and Associates; and David White, president of the Screen Actors Guild in Hollywood.
Attendees will be able to attend workshops covering the most important issues facing labor-management relations and employment in general today. The workshops will offer a legal update, arbitration and mediation techniques, public sector challenges, NLRB developments, employee absence policies, ethics and retirement plans.
This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 4.5 total CLE hours, with 1.50 of ethics instruction. Kentucky CLE and SHRM credits are pending.
The Conference will recognize General Electric Company (GE) as the recipient of the Conference's Investing in America Award, Carol Landwher as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievements Award and Andrea Brobbey as the recipient of the Conference Scholarship.
